Description

Ghost Tide is the work that named the typology. Made in 2022, it was the first piece to hold a marine body in the material that would later entangle it — the dolphin cast in cold-cast aluminium, caught in found ghost netting gathered from the Overberg coast.

Before Ghost Tide, the debris was observed. After Ghost Tide, the debris became a medium. This is the threshold moment: the first time the entanglement was not just documented but held in structure — the net becoming the form, the form becoming the record.
